How it works ?

Our solution contains an EMPI (Enterprise Master Patient Index) or a corporate identity and reconciliation server.

It uses probabilistic or deterministic algorithms to evaluate patient records and assign a unique company identifier (Enterprise Unique ID: EUID).

EMPI identifies and resolves duplicate patient records. In particular, it enhances the relevance of patient identification and provides a global view of the information. It also simplifies connectivity with patient record solutions and medical information exchange solutions.

The reconciliation or probabilistic match takes into account frequency-based indexing to distinguish frequent or rare occurrences of the data. Since the algorithms generate a “weighted score”, they are adjusted based on the population of EMPI domain-specific data for a given organization.

The solution is highly configurable to accommodate specific comparators and linked data validators. The solution provides storage of additional fields to support pairings and allows any field in the data model to be used in the pairing process.

During initial implementation, a preliminary analysis is performed to determine which values or fields should be used in the data structure of the source systems. The solution’s data model remains scalable, which is taken into account during the implementation process.
